About Hark Up Ministries...

Chris Hansen and Friends have formed Hark Up Ministries as a “not for profit” Christian community that uses music and other artistic forms to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and fulfill the scriptural mandate to “go and make disciples….” (Matt. 28:19).

Through various venues, concerts, educational opportunities and programs, Hark Up Ministries seeks to be a musical and artistic resource in the community that can aid communities, churches and other para-church organizations in exposing people to the gospel of Jesus Christ. By producing these musical and artistic events and programs that are God honoring, Hark Up Ministries will be a success.

With the wealth of experiences and resources that Hark Up Ministries has, they will also be able come along side smaller churches, inner city churches, and other Christian based ministries, some located in struggling depressed economic areas and help provide them with:

  • quality music ministry leadership;
  • worship, music and artistic counsel;
  • and collaborations…

These themes and goals will help these groups revitalize their communities and bring people closer to God.

Events and programs currently being discussed:

  • Monthly community based concerts and programs.
  • Youth jazz band and/or worship bands for local concerts and possible mission trips.
  • Getting the bands into local churches, communities and events.
  • Establishing community with local musicians.

Programs for future discussion:

  • Free and/or inexpensive music lessons to those who can’t afford it.
  • Special patriotic, Easter and Christmas community outreach events.
  • Worship and/or arts conferences.
  • Expansion of youth based music and drama ensembles
  • Plus many more options

How Can You Help

1. You can help NOW by Praying for this new ministry.

  • As anyone knows, trying to do ministry is fraught with many spiritual and physical obstacles so the best support anyone can give is their prayers. Pray for our team to be “set apart and holy”; for us to be “bold in the Name of Jesus”; and for us to have great wisdom as we seek God’s direction.

2. You can help NOW by Volunteering.

  • We need volunteers to help set up and coordinate different aspects of our monthly events. You can help in a number of areas including: singing in the choir, event set up, helping with tech, ushering, food preparation, music preparation, office help. and much more.

3. You can help NOW by Donating Equipment.

  • We are currently trying to gather various pieces of tech equipment and office equipment. Everything from audio, sound, mics, visual, music stands, keyboards, instruments, amps, lights, shelving, file cabinets copy machines, Cds,… well you name it and we probably need it. If you have some piece of equipment that is in good working order and you are no longer using we probably could. Equipment we don’t need will be given to other ministries or put on ebay and changed into cash for the ministry.

4. You can help NOW by Giving.

  • We will also need funds for basic expenses and underwriting of events. Just so you know, there are no salaries being paid. So all funds are going to help the ministry pay basic expenses. You can give cash or goods which are all considered tax deductible because of our association with “Salt Ministries.” We will take anything and use it, give to other ministries or convert it in to cash.
