About Chris Hansen

A native of Greenville, Michigan, Chris graduated from Western Michigan University with degrees in Music Education, Music Theory and Theatrical Arts. Chris performed and arranged music for the prestigious Gold Company under the direction of Steve Zegree. Chris has a master’s degree in Church Music/Worship Leadership from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. After completing his degree, he taught on staff under Gordon Borror in the areas of drama, worship and music and taught at Multnomah School of Bible and Music. Beginning in 1994, Chris served as Pastor of Worship and Arts at Fair Haven Ministries for over 12 years in Hudsonville, Michigan. From 1995–2004, Chris also served as the Saturday night music director for Calvary Church’s Saturday Night Live, alongside Ed Dobson, Phil Brower and Rob Bell. Chris was also an arranger for PraiseCharts from 1999-2003. Chris currently freelances as a music composer and arranger and does worship and music consulting for churches. In January of 2007, Chris began Hark Up Music, a non-profit worship and arts music ministry. |
